We are sad to say yes we have officially closed our rescue.  We will be focusing on a little different, hopefully more productive way to help the homeless animals of our community.  We will maintain this website and keep all of you updated on our endless fight to help animals.  To all of you that have supported our efforts we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

About Us!

We are a small/private no kill rescue located in Blackstone, VA. Critter Care was organized in 1998 not only to help our furry friends but also to help educate our community and surrounding communities about the importance of proper pet health care and responsible pet ownership. Our rescue though very small has saved hundreds of lost, abandoned, surrendered and injured animals throughout Nottoway and surrounding counties.

As of June 2007 we are no longer accepting owner surrendered animals and will be concentrating on finding great homes for the many animals we currently have at our shelter.
